Transdermal Drug Delivery Systems
- Dosage forms containing drug distributed either in hydrogel adhesive or other solvent base adhesive laminated over a backing film and covered with protective strip which can be removed prior to applying the patch to the skin.
- Such transdermal systems can be designed to deliver he desired amount of drug which would permeate through the skin in to systemic circulation to achieve intended therapeutic effect.
